The Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (CAMe) has announced the lifting of the ozone-related environmental contingency, effective from Saturday evening. The improvement in air quality is due to the weakening of the anticyclone affecting the region.

The population is thanked for following health protection and emission reduction recommendations. The Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (CAMe) informs that the environmental contingency due to ozone and its measures is lifted as of 8:00 PM this Saturday, February 14. It explained that the analysis of weather and air quality forecast models shows better conditions for pollutant dispersion for tomorrow, Sunday, as the strong anticyclonic system that influenced the ZMVM during the week has weakened and ceased to affect the country's central region. CAMe, together with the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources and the environmental authorities of CDMX and the State of Mexico, will remain vigilant of the evolution of air quality and weather conditions.
